About KOVU

"Like many women, I love handbags and animals. But being environmentally conscious, I could no longer imagine choosing between fashion accessories made with animal leather and plastic. The birth of my little girl also motivated and pushed me to actualize my dreams because I want her to see me as the woman who takes on any challenge I face.

As a result, I decided to launch my handbags collection made of innovative and sustainable materials like corn and cactus leather produced by companies that share my value and love for animals, people, and the planet.

 So I took my pencil and drew my first prototype, followed by the second and then the third. Since I was lucky enough to speak Italian, I met a family of Milanese artisans to produce my first collection. A big thank you to Etienne, my companion, also photographer and creator of the website. Without him, this extraordinary adventure would not have been possible."

KOVU is a Western Switzerland-based ethical and conscious brand founded in 2021. Alerted by climate change and animal sacrifice in the fashion industry, our mission is to make sustainable, vegan, and ethical fashion without compromising quality and design.

KOVU’s fashion items are made of the most innovative materials available on the market. We are proud to be the first in Switzerland to work with Desserto®, a sustainable leather alternative made from mature cactus leaves, and ULTRAWER®, derived from the non-edible part of Corn.
